Worked each Wednesday for six weeks at the inpatient pharmacy at Mercyhealth Javon Bea Hospital Riverside, supervised by my IPPE preceptor Dr. Jeff Campbell, PharmD.
- Observed Pharmacists and Pharm Techs perform tasks such as: sterile compounding; filling orders/restocking medications in Omnicell storage devices in the central inpatient pharmacy as well as different areas of the hospital; checking and verifying medication orders; making adjustments to orders based on renal function/neonate weight/drug contraindications, etc. I also became familiar with the Epic electronic health records and Omnicell storage systems.

Worked with Dr. Emilee Hischman, PharmD, and P4 Student Pharmacist Omar Cano in the Inpatient Pharmacy and the Anticoagulation Clinic.
- I was able to aid in dosage adjustment for AKI/CKD patients as well as pain medicine and antibiotic adjustments. I also had the opportunity to learn about the Cerner health records system, Pyxis storage devices, sterile IV preparation, etc.

During my P1-P3 years at the UIC College of Pharmacy, I was elected Class of 2025 Class Council President of the Rockford Campus. My responsibilities include:
- Overseeing all officers and ensuring that all students' issues are addressed.
- Organizing and coordinating fundraisers for the class.
- Conducting elections for another class each year.
- Setting and reaching yearly goals for the class.
- Coordinating regularly scheduled class officer meetings.
Public Outreach - Operation Opioids - Presenter & Student Leader

(2023-2024)
- Prepared and delivered a presentation about opioids and the ongoing opioid epidemic to local high school students. We presented to Auburn High School students virtually and live at Rockford East High School on 4/14/2023.
- During the Spring 2024 Semester, I returned to operation opioids as a student leader. Another returning student and I provided guidance to new students participating in Operation Opioids as they created their presentation sites and arranged presentation opportunities. We then collected pre/post-survey data from the student audience to assess the outreach and effectiveness of Operation Opioids.
Peer Advisor for UIC College of Pharmacy Class of 2026 Students

I served as a Peer Advisor for the Incoming UIC College of Pharmacy Class of 2026 Students. As a peer advisor, my responsibilities included:
- Communicating regularly with incoming P1 students to provide guidance regarding beginning the PharmD program. This includes hosting virtual social events, email outreach, Zoom meetings, etc.
- Providing guidance and answering questions from incoming P1 students regarding the transition to the College of Pharmacy.

The event took place on Saturday, March 26, 2022 on the Rockford campus.
- As a Student Guide, I helped lead compounding, dispensing, and student experience sessions for our high school participants, sat on a student Q&A panel, and provided campus tours for the parents of high school students.
